Far Cry 6 - Mic separate audio track

Playing FC6 and unticking "Record microphone onto separate audio track" allows me to have both my voice and the game audio recorded. When I tick it, I get no voice recorded at all.

However, having it ticked when recording eg Valheim works perfectly - I get game plus commentary audio on that separate track so that in my video editing suite I get 3 tracks. Very handy because I can edit the commentary volume if needed, which it usually does.

Wondering why this works for my other games but not for FC6. Do I need to add it somewhere so Action recognises it?

Help on this would really be appreciated.

It does not matter what game you are recording, there should be a microphone track in both cases.
Do you use the same recording settings for both games?

It's working for me now, just tested it again, has recognised my mic and in the mic settings I've ticked "Record microphone into separate audio track". I did the same thing before but it wasn't recording a separate track.

I used the same settings for both games as I mentioned. There wasn't a mic track before for FC6, there is now. Could be something to do with the game, you never know with Ubisoft.
