Arc Raiders crashes when Action is running

I recently got Arc Raiders and have been wanting to record some footage but sadly I've had a very hard time getting it to run unless Action is not running. Even if I launch the game first and then launch Action, the game will immediately crash. It crashes even before I've started recording, just having the application open seems to cause issues.
It's strange because at first I could have them both running with around a 50% success rate. For the first two days of playing, if the game failed to launch the first time I would keep re-launching it until it got past the main menu, at which point it would let me record and play for as long as I want.
After that it simply stopped working. no matter how many times I launched it the game would just crash. I messed with some settings and after disabling hardware acceleration, it suddenly started working fine. It launched fine the first time every time. for about 24 hours.
Now it's back to simply being unable to launch no matter how many times I tried.
I tried restarting my PC and checked that my drivers are up to date. I tried changing settings like switching file format from MP4 to AVI but no luck.
