Mirillis Splash Player Pro v2.0

Tue Feb 18, 2025 4:38 am

Hello,
I have been deeply in love with Mirillis Splash Player Pro. So much that i won't watch a movie without it. Setting the advanced Picture options to Motion, Detail and Light Boost ... It's a pleasure to watch a movie in all 60fps glory.

However, i have noticed a problem and it's been there since the original Splash Pro Ex version. Large Size files (such as Original BluRays etc) always seem to have a jerky playback (when using the Motion Boost). It's as if, the software is having difficulty in keeping up and processing the huge amount of data. geometry dash lite

For example, if running a 10GB+ File, it'd run perfectly fine IF the resolution is 720p. But will start to jerk if same file size is 1080p. MY PC is perfectly capable of running all high end video games at max settings (or closer) so I don't think the PC is the real issue here.

Anyone else having the same issue?

Is it a network speed issue?

Try disabling Motion Boost or lowering the video resolution to reduce playback strain. Also, make sure your graphics drivers are up to date and check CPU/GPU usage. If issues persist, contact Mirillis support.

Yeah, I’ve noticed that too. Splash Player’s Motion Boost is pretty demanding, and even a beefy PC can struggle with 1080p or bigger files because it’s trying to process all that extra frame interpolation in real time. For me, lowering Motion Boost a bit or just using it on smaller files makes it smoother. Otherwise, for huge BluRays, I just stick to 720p or turn Motion Boost off—still looks good, but way less jerky.

Sounds like the Motion Boost is struggling with higher bitrate 1080p files rather than your PC itself. You could try lowering the motion/detail settings a bit or checking if hardware acceleration is properly enabled.
