Yep, this is a known issue with Splash Player. Motion Boost is very CPU-heavy, and high-bitrate 1080p or Blu-ray files often stutter even on strong PCs. 720p works because it's easier to process. Try lowering Motion Boost, disabling Light Boost, or switching to GPU decoding. You’re definitely not the only one experiencing this.

Thanks for the detailed explanation, no wonder my computer, which has decent specs, always stutters when I turn on 1080p. I'll try turning off Motion Boost and switching to GPU decoding to see if it's smoother, because watching movies where the picture lags behind the sound is really frustrating.

it's worked fine in 1080p in my system.. but sometime frame drooping is the thing I concern about. well my system is not have high configuration so its ok.
