Splash cannot stay default for video files-Windows 10 64bit

Wed Apr 06, 2016 6:13 pm

Hi,

Edit: I am using Windows 10 64bit OS.

I always get "An application caused a problem and default extension for .avi is changed back to Movie application" kind of messages. I do set it back to Splash 2.0.3 and system again sets it back to "Movie" application. This is just an example. I get all kinds of video files (let it be .mov, .mkv, .avi, etc.) going back to Movie application and not keeping Splash as default app.

I don't know if it is Windows or Splash problem, but I do know that is very annoying.

Anybody else having same problem? Is there anything I can do to keep Splash default app for video files?

Any help is appreciated.

Hi,

Yes, I am using Windows 10 64bit as an operating system. Just edited my post to include that information.

Thanks.
