Unable to play files ?

I installed ver 2 and it has tagged all the graphics files icon with a red triangle - so it must be accepting the files as valid.
If I double click to play .... the progress bar runs - but no video on screen.
Tried of 3 file types
avi (DV) interlaced
avi (DV) progressive
avi (MagicYUV) interlaced
avi (MagiYUV) progressive
All 4 file types play on other players OK
