When will Splash player support AMD display card hardware acceleration of H265/HEVC ?

It's been over one and a half year that AMD released it's RX series display card, but the splash player shows no progress on supporting the feature that AMD provided.
May I ask what hindering splash player from adding AMD card's H265/HEVC decoding features?
Freeware such as MPC-BE has already made it and the colors are very much impressive.
