Action! File freezes during playback and editing in Premiere

I went ahead and bought the program tonight to record Photo editing sessions in Adobe Lightroom. The program responds well and records, but when I play the file it only plays about 30 seconds and then it does a hard freeze during playback.

No matter what software I try to run it, the avi file freezes and restarts the program.

I've used

Action! Player itself
VideoLAN
Windows Media Player
Adobe Premiere editing interface.

This is on 2 computers, an i5-2500k and a I7 laptop.

Any suggestions? I really love the quality, and I'm hoping to make some HD photo editing videos, but this could prove a major hurdle.
