2. M2TS file format output.
3. Batch video processing
4. Video to audio conversion (“mp4 to mp3”, etc)

7. Audio “copy stream” option, without encoding.
8. All previous requested “Splash Pro” features like audio bit-rate info, etc.
9. Custom resolution.
10. Smart aspect ratio settings like Crop/Zoom
11. Target file size option, so that the quality will be determined according to the requested file size.
12. Option to manually enter video bit-rate settings.
13. Option to add subtitles, both burned-in subtitles and optional subtitle as a separate stream.
14. File “split by duration/size” option
15. Profiles for Cowon products
16. Option to disable output preview

Long time had to wait for this, thanks!

Vivan: here on quad core it works like a charm, cpu is squeezzed almost to maximum (with CUDA off) and video decoding is done by GF GTX. How does it work with your netbook?

I will test it on some other PCs (also with netbook) and get back here with feedback.

Nunatak: nice list but why and what for 12 and 16?

To the Mirilis team, well done ! Another excellent program.

Just one request.

Allow picture2 (especially motion2) to be applied prior to export as preprocessing functions.

It has really slow one core processor - so very slow (but there is no problem in it).

12 - Typing bitrate is just faster that moving pointer with the mouse.
16 - it just faster. E.g. virtualdub has such option.

Ok, it's really hard to test because of it slowness (even --veryslow preset is faster!) so just some problems:
- sometimes (2 of 3 times I tried) after export video has variable fps instead of constant.
- one time video was unplayable with mpc (and I guess other players)
- presets are rather strange - e.g. nokia n8 have 640x360 screen - there's no such preset, but there are 848x480 and 720x480 presets, what for is the point of second? This phone handles 720p - so I'd prefer such presets for resolution: 720p (1280x720), 480p (848x480) and 360p (640x360).
Also nokia 5800 would never play 640x480 video, the same applies to the HTC Touch... And so on.

- also there is no option to encode with constant quality (constant quntizer), when you care about quality, but not size.
P.s. the best devices database: please at least check their display resolution...

Ok, some tests...
Source - uncompressed BBB, since Splash doesn't open uncompressed video - it was encoded with crf 10 (nearly loseless quality).
For Splash: profile - 1080p (High Profile), Video quality - High, 1920x1080.
For x264: --bitrate 3000 --preset veryslow --profile high --level 4.1
Splash: 3 mbit, 5 mbit, x264: 3 mbit.
x264 with superfast preset (and 70 fps speed) at 3mbit

Also when i'm playing exported video in mpc-hc with dxva it has problem - frame order is wrong. It looks like e.g. 2, 3, 4, 5, 1, 7, 8, 9, 10, 6... The same happens when I switch off internal filters and use Haali Media Splitter + ffdshow dxva decoder.

Thank you for a feedback.

Vivan: about your performance issues there must be some problem with encoder or decoder setup on your CPU.
We will try to investigate this.

Can you download the sample clip from: http://mirillis.com/en/products/splashe ... mance.html
And check the exporting performance (time and CPU cores usage) for 1080p high profile, video quality normal 19.2Mbit.
with and without video decoding acceleration in settings/export.

About the quality comparison, we target rather high bitrates exporting profiles at the moment.
We also will try to add new presents and correct this already present. Thanks for a feedback about it.

Planned for a future, but cannot really say when this will be avialable, Im not sure if this will be for EX 1.x.x version.

We do not plan to add mp3 audio encoding.
Option to disable output preview is also not planned, this is quite optimized and I would estimate that it would increase performance maybe about 0.2%. Maybe less.

Other features are planned for sooner or further future.
We plan to introduce most of features when we will add an "advanced" view.

Thanks!
I use EX to convert my cameras clips to lower resolutions or bitrates.
I don't use low bitrates (I prefer 1080@14mbit and 720p@8mbit) and I am very happy with exported video quality.
But first of all the exporting speed is mind blowing (Quick Sync!).

It runs nice on my older notebook with dxva enabled so I plan to get another copy soon when trial will expire.

My requests:
1. M2TS file format output.
2. Batch video processing
3. keep original audio
