Action automatically adjusts my microphone levels?

Hello!

I'm trying to use Adobe Audition to record my audio separate so I can edit it afterwards, so I have action set not to record my microphone. However, whenever I hit record, it bumps my micorphone level in windows from 30 to 89, causing me to get many rapid spikes in my audio. How do I stop action from changing my microphone levels on me? I don't want it to record my microphone.

Have you tried changing your audio device in Action! settings for another, not used one?w
