This shouldn't be too hard to program in.

There should be an option for this under Settings -> Video Tab, but there is not :o

Let's hope the devs add this to this cool app.

I'm also looking for this functionality - is it at least being considered for some of the future updates? Thank you.

It is included in plans for future versions, this is planned to be added as an option to be enabled.

I were waiting for that option, and it's really good to know that it'll be added in future versions, even better as a choice.

It would also be nice if aspect ratio of the player's window was locked when resizing (as an option).

If you plan to add - only as option!

I watch lots of clips with different res and this feature is the mos stupid I have ever seen
Good splash doesnt support this now.
On other player it was always annoying as hell, change a file and player window changes its size - silly!
Why do you ned this guys?

Because when I watch something in window I don't need it to cover more desktop space than necessary.
It's a matter of personal preference I think. Just imagine that you launch some 720p or 1080p video and then some tiny avi (640x360) - if you like the black borders around this video it's your choice, I personally don't like these borders.

Black borders around the video? It's only problem of Aspect Ratio, not resolution.
And than imagine that you are watching some videos in window with 1/4 size of desktop. E.g. player on the right side (+ on the top), browser window on the left. And then it switches to the new 1080p video... suddenly occupying the entire screen.
Anyway there are keys for 50% and 100% zoom, but no button for restoring previous window size (only to default)
Desktop (Intel i7-970, ATI 5870, Windows 7 x64)
Acer Aspire TimelineX 3830TG (Intel i5-2410M, nVidia GT540M, Windows 7 x64)
PS Vita, Nokia N8

I know that, that's why I ask for something like "keep aspect ratio when resizing" option.

50% and 100% zoom keys are nice, I didn't know about them. But I would still like fixed aspect ratio when resizing player's window.
