NVENC (h264) with 60fps doesn't seem to work

Wed Aug 30, 2017 2:49 am

I tried recording (not streaming) in active window mode (content is 1080p) and set the settings at mp4, NVENC (264), 60fps
High quality and 35% bitrate.
Beforehand I tried recording in 30fps, but the 30fps showed a lot of dropped frames, so I opted for 60fps.

The resulting file, when inspected with media info apps shows 60fps, but the file size remains the same as the 30fps recording, and there are no improvements.
Also the HUD indicating captured frames also doesn't exceed 30fps (the red numbers are fixed at 30) even when it's set at 60.

Can someone tell me what the issue is?

I used to use OBS, but I heard great things about Action, so I thought I'd try it out.
Paid, got a license and was looking forward to it, then this happened.
I guess I should have tested out the trial first before blindly trusting everything would work out

Probably the source you were recording is displayed in 30 fps.
