Questions About: HDR and Audio Tracks

Sat Jan 05, 2019 3:03 am

Hey folks -

First: I know Action! supports HDR and down-converts it to SDR. Has the option been added to pass HDR straight through to the file yet? Or has that not been implemented? If it hasn't, are there any guesses or ETAs?

Second: Is there a way with supported file formats to just add extra audio tracks (IOW, > 2) from other sources? I don't mean the separate .WAV file, but make it part of a single output file? There are a few file formats (eg: MP4) that support > 2 tracks; I find it hugely helpful to have a single output file and then manage the audio in an NLE.

Thanks!

Currently there are no plans to implement HDR recording.

At this moment only microphone can be recorded in a separate audio track, but we are working on something new.

Did I misunderstand this post then?

It seemed to indicate that 10-bit recording would be coming?
