UPDATE: Strange thing we have noticed. Elgato HD 60S device (an older device) creates an audio capture device that is visible in the system. 4K60 Pro MK.2 does not. It only creates a filter that is a Kernel Streaming Proxy. No idea why they did it this way because audio is not easily accessible by all applications.
So would this be why the only place my 4K60 Pro shows up for audio is in device manager? It doesn't show up as a device in the sound control panel of Windows like my 60S+ does.

Looking forward to the update anyway, provided I don't have any other issues blocking things on my own hardware of course!

Yes. 4K60 Pro is only visible as a video source in the system. 60S+ is visible as a video device and audio source device. The audio from 4K60 Pro is only visible as Kernel Streaming Proxy...

FINAL SOLUTION:

Missing audio devices will be added as "virtual audio devices" on the list of System Sound devices:

HW AUDIO OUTPUTS (first)
1. Realtek Digital Output
2. Another device...

VIRTUAL AUDIO SOURCE:
3. Game Capture 4K60 Pro MK.2 Audio
4. Another virtual device...

And rest of the list will include our new feature - capturing audio from selected applications/games:
5. Discord audio
6. CS:GO
7. Another active application...
Hi Watchman,

Don't suppose there's an ETA on when this might get implemented? Downloaded 4.17.0 and noticed still no audio from my 4K60 Pro MK.2, so just thought I'd ask! Thanks in advance!

As an addition to the above, saw that this was added in tbe patch notes for 4.18.0.

Did a test recording and working like a charm on my 4K60 Pro MK. 2, so thank you guys very much for getting a fix in! I really appreciate now being able to get the audio to my streams and videos directly through Action.

Would it be possible to get an option to monitor the audio from the capture card through Action, similar to how I do with OBS/Elgato's software?

I find Action's HDR recording to actually work versus the 4KCU being inconsistent, so being able to hear the PS5 audio through Action on my PC headphones is the final thing I'm missing in the setup, as I still monitor the audio elsewhere for now.

Above is just a question/suggestion for an improvement for myself, I understand if it's hard to implement, but I really appreciate the current setup! Glad to finally get to HDR streaming with capture all done in the one app. Thank you so much!

Hi Racket,

Sorry for a little late reply but last month was crazy in terms of new features.

We also are working hard on Action 5 but we will release one more version (4.19.0) with real time monitoring for audio sources + the possibility to output the sound from Kernel Streaming sources to default playback device. This wan't be super elegant but at least it will work.

Hope this will solve all your problems before Action 5 arrives :)

Hi Watchman!

Downloaded the new update today and sounds are playing through just fine. Thank you for that swift addition too! I really appreciate being able to HDR stream/record my consoles with just the one app open! Really, really appreciate the work put in. Thank you very much!

Hope you have a tremendous weekend!
