Does Action! support separate audio tracks for mic and system sound?

Mon Jan 26, 2026 8:54 am

Hi everyone, I’m using Action! mainly for gameplay recording and I’m wondering if it’s possible to record my microphone audio and system/game sound as two separate audio tracks in a single video file, so I can edit them independently later. If this isn’t supported yet, is it something planned for future versions?

Hi, yes - Action! does support recording microphone and system/game audio as separate tracks, but you need to enable it in the settings first.

Go to Audio Settings and make sure the option for separate audio tracks (or multi-track recording) is turned on. Once enabled, your mic and system sound will be saved as different audio channels in the same video file, which you can edit independently in compatible editing software.

If you don’t see the option, make sure you’re using the latest version of Action!.
