I was able to force a manual update even though my computer didn't say I needed to. Action went unresponsive but stayed open longer than it did previously, as before it just shut down straight away and reopened again with a corrupted file.

Please try removing or moving to another location all your video files from your video output folder. Once your video folder is empty please run Action! and see if it's still crashing.
