HD Camcorder feature via AVCHD folder on PC hard drive?

Sat Apr 16, 2011 8:15 pm

Hi,

I periodically backup the AVCHD folder structure from my camcorder onto my PC when my camcorder runs low on space. Unfortunately, it appears that Splash Pro only looks for the AVCHD folder within a connected camcorder via USB.

Is there anyway to use the awesome HD Camcorder viewing feature in Splash Pro with backed up AVCHD folders on my PC's hard drive rather than on the camcorder's builtin memory? Is there a way to point the HD Camcorder feature to specific "AVCHD" folders ?

THanks.

If you mean to browse AVCHD structure with Splash interactive menu then this is not possible yet but we plan to add
the possibility to browse it this way in future versions. This will be avialable only when AVCHD structure does not contain already a menu.

Which camcorder is better the ones with mini dvds or cables to plug into the tv or computer? I want to get a new camcorder. I am looking for something between $200-$300. Which brand do you prefer? What should I look for to ensure I get one that does a lot of stuff and is convenient.
