Why it then that overview of Splash Player Pro ES quotes that:radi wrote:DivX codec is required to play some video formats properly.
If we are linking now, you can check Features tab (http://www.mirillis.com/en/products/spl ... tures.html) where's specified that DivX codec is required only for HD videos where software decoding is used. With Hardware Acceleration you don't need to install additional codecs.kamilcz wrote:Why it then that overview of Splash Player Pro ES quotes that:radi wrote:DivX codec is required to play some video formats properly.
You don't need any additional codecs to play the best quality videos now!
As on your webpage;
If the player does in fact need additional codecs to play certain DivX video files as quoted by you then you as a company should provide support and free download on your website!
Or am I just missing something?

YES, I TOO FACED the SAME PROBLEM. YES, YOU HAVE TO DOWNLOAD ADDITIONAL CODEX.kamilcz wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2013 10:34 amWhen I try to play a video file in my Splash Player Pro EX I get a “Codec Error, please install DivX codec” message.
In the settings of my Splash player the “Check for updates” is check marked but the player won’t update its self on its own!
1. How can I manually update the Splash player Pro EX without waiting for the product to update automatically?
2. Do I have to download additional codecs manually for DivX video files to play in Splash Player Pro EX?
Thank you for all of your help.
