Cant use :Active screen: or :Active desktop region:

I have no idea why but i can only use : games and applications recordings.: If i click on "active screen" the hud does not show up and if i start recording by pressing the big red button or by pressing f9 it will record but when i finish, the icon for the videos will be light grayish with the circular loading icon. If i hold the mouse over them in the bottom it will say "0x0 I 60.000fps I 0:00:01 I 0 Mb" and it says that no matter how long or big the recording is. The only way for me to record is to open a game first and choose "games and applications" then press f9. Can someone help please. I am running windows 8.1. Also i used to be able to do this maybe a month ago but then i had to reset my computer to get rid of some viruses and now it doesnt work anymore. When i reset my computer did it delete a program that Action! needs to recordd the desktop maybe?

Action doesn't work properly with the more recent Intel gfx driver releases. I had luck with downgrading all the way back to the "3412" driver version. It's so old Intel doesn't have it any more, I had to find a copy on the guru3d site.
