Action not recording properly

So I've had action for a little more than a month now, and I have had this problem for quite some time. Basically, I srt my video format to .avi so I can record at 120 fps. I then record my gameplay. When I go to edit / watch the video, it shows the video in slow motion, but skips over some parts. This does not happen when I set my video format to .mp4 and record at 60fps, but I need to record at 120. Any fix? Thanks.

Most video players cannot handle 120fps video playback which results in slow video playback.
