Audio problem

Okay, so I recently got a new headset, a Symph USB, and whenever I attempt to record those in my skype/TS told me there is suddenly a lot of background noise as if I opened a window and there was a storm outside. The recording sounds normal but my friends hear a ton of noise. Any suggestions?
