I would like to see the following things:
- Keyboard shortcuts changed to reflect what other programs use. Windows apps generally have a really bad case of having no uniformity whatsoever, so having keyboard shortcuts that match what other apps are using would be a good idea. For one Ctrl+S for Settings is terrible. Ctrl+S is generally the shortcut for Save. How about O instead, with the Settings menu renamed to "Options" which is more common in applications anyway. Integrating settings and playback options would be nice too so there is a single place for adjusting things and not several. Likewise X would be a better shortcut for Stop, as this is used by many audio/video players.
- Shortcut for toggling subtitles on/off or maybe cycling the available subs (for example None/English/French)
- Better icon for audio track. Now it's easily confused with Volume control.
- Lose the clock. It's already in the corner of the taskbar.
- More customizable settings. For example I'd like to see several different skip options (short, medium, long) with totally customizable times for each, ala MPC-HC.
- Audio output mode customizable per device. For example on my FireWire audio interface I use analog stereo outputs but on my Realtek onboard sound I use the digital output.
- Option to remember position in a video. For example you watch a movie halfway and have to do something else, when you start the video file again it starts from the position where you left it.
