My time-shift was recorded without sound.

Sun Nov 17, 2024 3:46 am

Today I want to test the time-shift function with action, but the video I recorded has no sound. If I use the recording function directly, there is sound. Only time-shift has no sound, but the animation is normal. I want to know whether this is a normal phenomenon or a problem with my software, and how to solve it.

Under settings for time-shift, you should set a Primary Sound Device. From the drop down menu make sure to pick your device. Don't leave it on "System Default". If it's set to System default, what happens is this - Let's say you initially had your desktop speakers when you started your game and then you decide to switch to a headset, Action will not automatically start picking up the sound from your headset and this is the issue. It's still listening on speakers but your audio is now coming through the headset. So before you launch up your game make sure you have the primary device set to the device you will be using while recording and then launch the game.

It sounds like you're experiencing a specific issue with the time-shift function. This could be a known bug in the software, as some users have reported similar problems with audio not being recorded during time-shift. I recommend checking for any software updates or patches that might address this issue. Additionally, you could try adjusting the audio settings or reinstalling the software to see if that helps. If the problem persists, reaching out to customer support might be the best option. Good luck!
