In Splash 2.7.0.0 progress bar and font question

Wed Oct 08, 2025 8:58 pm

Is there any way to:

1. Make the running time on the progress bar bigger?
2. Make the fonts on the progress bar and various other menus to be made bold?

After using VLC Media player for two decades, I finally found THE best player having almost all the features I want and love. THANK YOU, Mirillis.

I am hoping you can tweak it to achieve the above two requests, if possible.

Totally agree! bigger running time and bold fonts would make the interface feel more polished and accessible. It’s awesome that Mirillis keeps improving with user feedback like this.

Bigger running time and bold fonts on the progress bar would make the interface even more readable, especially from a distance. Great suggestions — hopefully the devs consider adding them in a future update.

As far as I know in 2.7.0.0, there isn’t a built-in option to change just the progress bar font size or make those specific texts bold. The UI is mostly fixed in terms of font styling.

A couple of things you can try in the meantime:

System scaling/DPI – increasing Windows display scaling can make all UI elements (including Splash’s time display) a bit larger.

Feature request – your two ideas (bigger running time + bold fonts on the bar/menus) are very reasonable quality-of-life improvements. It might be worth sending them directly to Mirillis support or posting in their feature request section so the devs see it clearly.

You’re definitely not the only one who’d appreciate clearer, larger time and text, especially on higher-resolution screens.
