Splash Pro or Even Splash Lite Video Too Dark In Windows 7

Tue Nov 29, 2011 10:22 am

Hi i recently installed windows 7 ultimate 64 and the any video i open in splash is incredibly dark, i can adjust the saturation, brightness and contrast but it's still not the same as it was in win xp, in xp i didn't have to adjust anything it was just perfect. is there a way to resolve this problem or the best way is just to install win xp?

Did you install the latest Forceware driver?
You can also change many settings in Nvidia control panel.

I did install many different versions of the forceware drivers but still the same problem. My main problem is the fact that in windows xp i didn't have to change anything in the driver settings or the player and it was perfect the default settings are perfect but in windows 7 there not. I did play around with the settings in the nvidia control panel and in the player settings but i still don't get the same picture quality like in xp. Also with other players( bsplayer, vlc, kmplayer) the picture quality on win 7 is exactly like in xp but those players are crap, splash is way better then the rest.

I just tried this Thanks Man it worked perfectly, when Force Video Overlay is enabled it's the same quality like xp.
It was disabled and I didn't touch it because i didn't know what it does.
Again Thanks Man it works perfectly.

Your welcome :D
Anyway, it's not good way because forces to use Basic theme and else.
Do you get the dark problem with Windows Media Player 12 too? :?

Sorry but i don't understand what exactly you want. If you're talking about the video file which in splash is very dark, it's not just a video, it's every video it doesn't matter what it is. Every single video/movie I opened in splash was very dark, until you told me about that option.
