I second this feature request. And AVI playback is still crappy. On some avi files, after I close the player, the player does not shut itself down. It remains open in processes and the sound of the movie is still present.

And maybe you can add support for subtitle tags: <i></i>, <color> etc. And special characters too: & % # @.

wth u guys care more about subtitles over the playback itself.... if the font is too small get some glasses...

subtitles are the last thing this player needs, they need to fix the playback 1st...

As you can see, I wrote about playback too. And when you put some small subtitles on a big LCD TV, then you need opera glasses.

An idea: it would be an informative step to make a "process of Splah Pro" page. Maybe it would calms the people's tempers.
For example:

Subtitles: 35% (2010.09.19. 15:00) [Details]
Video Codecs: 50% (2010.09.14. 00:00) [Details]
Audio Codecs: 45% (2010.09.14. 00:00) [Details]

etc. etc. You can imagine like a table with 4 columns, but I cant post tables.

I cant open playback options section since i updated to new version. What is wrong. I press the button but nothing happens.

Try pressing "0" (zero) on keyboard to reset Splash windows/panels positions.

Soon some improvements for subtitles will be introduced. More options will be added gradually.

...Motion2 need a little color tweak. When Motion2 is enabled, the color becomes slightly shifted towards to green. ...

720p playback is distorted, 1080i/p works. Any ideas ?

Can you provide a screenshot? Does problem repeat with all 720p files? Whats your settings (h/w acceleration, motion2 etc.)? What is video codec detected?

A lot of lags in HD mkv movies when just playing, don't have idea why but SplashPRO 1.1 plays fine these files.
Very buggy SmartSeek feature with lags (worked fine in v.1.1.0)
Subtitles for inscriptions in the movies or foreign languages never shows (all other players displays them when needed)

Could you describe more detailed about lags in MKV? Does it repeat with Motion2 only, or with h/w acceleration enabled and disabled? Does problem repeat on all displays or only when using second display? The thing that may affect mkv playback is PGS support. Please try opening Splash config file (usually: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Mirillis\config2.ini) and add a line "PGS=0" at the very bottom. Then test mkv movies without enabling subtitles.

The SmartSeek problem is very strange as it does not lag on our test PCs (even really old PCs).
What is going on exactly with SmartSeek? Please describe it more detailed.

1) If i switch the graphid card of my HTPC (Nvidia ION) to 24hz, the video is stuttering in Splash. Switch i back to 60hz, everything is fine. Did anyone of you notice that as well? Just to be sure if it is a Splash or driver problem.
2) If playing a video file (e.g. MKV) and a subtitle track (normally forced subtitles for scenes spoken in foreign language, etc) has the "standard flag", Splash should recognize this like other players and turn this subtitle automatically on.
3) Option to start playback from the beginning in Fullscreen-mode

1) Splash requires 59/60Hz display at the moment for smooth video playback.
2) We are still improving mkv support and will introduce inprovements gradually.
3) We know that this funtion is usefull for HTPC users and we plan to add it soon.

LE: Now another ugly bug has shown his face. When you add files to the playlist and close the playlist, the player crashes. This behavior occurs when you have a movie playing and you want to add another one to the playlist. If you don't have a movie playing or pause the current one, than it does not crash.

Could you please describe the problem more detailed, cause we cannot repeat this on our PCs.
Is this problem connected anyway with Playback Options settings, h/w accelration, video codec (currently playing video), number of items on playlist or any other settings?

...since 1.2 came out any mkv or avi files i have with +10 motion plus freezes videos every 5-10 mins.

So, for me i can not confirm that subtitles load automatically
I tried several mkv´s with forced subtitles, they just do not load. I still have to turn them on by hand.
Tried it in XP and 7.

Fix was for external files only. Internal MKV subtitles will be fixed later.

Same here , also subtitle flash very often when enable GPU acceleration

What video codec is in this avi files? If it is divx, xvid please provide info what Divx/Xvid codec do you have installed.

I have tried "PGS=0" version, but I think it is worst then before. What is PGS means?
