Action Recording Audio in a Game Strangly

Thu Jun 20, 2013 1:28 am

So I have only had this problem with one of the games I tested: Serious Sam 2.

What happens is when I record the game and watch the recording. The music and sound effects do not match. The music is fine in volume but the sound effects are really quiet you can barely hear it. Is there a way I could fix this?

I have just tried this with other games and it seems to be happening with many games. Some sound effects are not being recorded at the correct volume compared to the music in the game.

Check if your game sounds is not lowered in your System Sounds mixer. Does this occurs with other games?

When playing games the sound and music is fine. It is the recording that lowers the sound of the game but not the music the game. This is happening to most games I record.

I can barely hear the sound for example, in the recording I would barely be able to hear the sound effects of the gun shooting. It doesn't effect the music in the game so for example, background music in a level would be fine. It is sound effects in the game that is having the issue and I don't know what is causing this.

Do you know what could be causing this?
