Video Playback Performance Issues

Mon Oct 21, 2013 9:58 pm

Hello All,

I'm new to Action. I've created several video captures of pc games and so far love the program's ease of use and look. However, I've noticed that when the program begins recording, say BF3 for instance, the in-game action will chop and skip. It eventually speeds up so I assume it's Action loading while the game is running.

Also, when re-playing some of the videos, the replay footage will stop/freeze momentarily, then resume. The sound continues to play, but the video stops for several seconds then picks up again. It will then speed up like in fast forward to catch up to the sound. I'm not sure what's causing this. The pc has 6GB of ram and I've run perfmon while re-playing the videos, resources do not seem to be tapped from what I can see.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.

Is it possible that you could upload your video sample somewhere?

Thank you. I'm working on that. I suspect this is a symptom of my video memory being low. I will conduct a few more tests.
