Disable recording of Steam Overlay?

Hi

I recently purchased Action! and have been using it to record my games for Youtube.

Unfortunately on a few occasions I've had Steam messages appear from people whilst playing that I do not want recorded. This means I have to use a video editor to cut it out, re-encode the video etc. Whereas normally I just upload the recorded footage straight onto YouTube which is great.

Is there any chance you could put in a feature to not record the overlay or is it not possible?

Well, if it appears on your screen it will be picked up. I'm not sure if adding steam overlay process to exclude list will work but you should try it.

Unfortunately the exclusion didn't work.

Never mind, I will just have to disable steam overlay and use my mobile phone to chat over steam whilst in game.
