I want to buy Action... but...

Fri Apr 04, 2014 3:22 pm

Hello guys and hello Mirillis! I have a rather dissappointing fact to confess... i'm using a cracked version of Action... before you ban me though, just hear me please.

Don't get me wrong, i love Action, i love the features and i absolutely love the perfomance! In fact, i'm very willing to pay for it. However, there's just some difficulties about it.

The problem is, Plimus/Bluesnap has a poor reputation in customer service and payment transfers according to WOT (Web Of Trust) reviewers and another site that i googled, as well as some of their service providers (e.g. Skrill). Whether or not they are to be believed, i'm not willing to take the risk or chance to try their service. Additionally, Bluesnap and Skrill are the kind of sites i haven't even heard of before.

PayPal on the other hand lacks the option for prepaid credit cards (e.g. Paysafecard) I don't have an actual credit card and i don't want to give my bank account information to them. I've seen something like MoneyPak or MoneyBak as their prepaid option, but that's only available in USA as far as i know, i live in Finland.

Should i contact your sales team or support to ask for any help on this?

I used a cracked version as well then I quickly bought it because it is great.

Plimus is fine. Never had problems with it.

Have u ever bought ANYTHING on the internet lately?

It it was me who was in charge, u would have been banned right away.
Action! comes in FULL WORKING 30 days trial, so dont come here with excuses for using cracked version.

You "only" pay 30$ for the no.1 game recording software, so get on with it and pay, like i did 8-)

No. I barely ever make any internet purchases to begin with.

Why would i excuse myself? Those problems i mentioned are legit!

I wouldnt blindly look at those reviews. So far theres nothing special compared to other recording softwares expect the three different recording mode (directx/opengl, active screen, active desktop region) which work like they're supposed to be, thats a big plus.

Thought AVI codec used for recording is only playable on DirectShow based players which i understand but I'm unable to encode it in other softwares which i prefer to have some control over how the video will be encoded before sending it to youtube.

The only time you directly upload to youtube is when you are live streaming or dont care to do any video editing. AVI is great if you want to have the original format, think like RAW format for cameras, that isnt compressed, scaled, or otherwise modified. If you use MP4, then you might lose the ability to do 1080p videos. It also depends on your video editing software, which Movie Maker is great for some editing but the export formats make youtube only keep it at 320.

WAIT WAIT WAIT, HOLD UP.

You don't want to pay because you don't trust any of the payment method ? not even ones that been around since the 90's such as paypal ?

If your not going to trust any payment companies like that then you'll never buy anything.

Paypal is the way I go because I know they are good with my information, as they have been for many many years. Yet I still order using Credit Cards as if anything did go wrong and paypal doesn't help me, I can call my card company and revert the charge.

So from reading, I am guessing your not of legal age or for other reasons can't get credit for a credit card.

Paypal has a front page for when you order for non-members. So you can fill in the card info and buy Action without being a member of Paypal. Only thing is, I am not 100% sure if a prepaid card will work on that page. I know you can't add a prepaid card to your account as they want a fully working card there. But for a one time transaction through the non-member card processing page, I can't see why they wouldn't allow it.
