Sudden Problems with recording

Tue May 06, 2014 5:46 pm

Well, let me explain.

I've been using Mirillis Action! for a number of months now to record gameplay along with my desktop, I mean, I use nearly every feature within the software. It's worked perfectly - Mirillis Action! is everything that I want in a recorder, especially for games.

Around 3 days ago, I opened up Action! to record some Minecraft gameplay. I opened up the program as I usually would, and I DID NOT touch anything within the software. No settings were changed, nothing was altered, nothing seemed different about it. It still said it was recording in .avi. And then I started to record, and my computer flipped out with lag. This has never happened before. So it starts to lag, and therefore I stop the recording, as Minecraft is unplayable. And so I go to play my recording back, and everything has changed. Firstly, even though it says that it is recording in .avi, when played back, it says that the files are now MP4 (I did not change any settings for this.) And when played back, the recording was fine for around 5 seconds, and then it sped up. This means that there was only one frame playing (it sped up really quickly) and the audio within it was sped up also. The recording was ruined (as you can see from the attached YouTube link) My question is, how do I rectify Action! so that it no longer speeds up drastically, and that it records in .avi again?

I would really love this problem to be fixed!

I would have included an attachment of my recording, however the forum does not allow for mp4.

I have also re-installed Action! around three times and still the same issues are present.

Thank you!

Probably you have enabled Action! LIVE Streaming without providing any additional data. Action! is not streaming but it's overwriting your video settings from Video Recording tab.
