blue and cyan artefacts after exporting

Fri May 30, 2014 5:52 pm

Hello!

Because Pinnacle does not accept Action! AVI-files i have to export it to mp4 before editing.
but the exportet files have blueish and red artefacts. if i increase the quality of exporting
it gets better but issue is not gone, nevertheless which settings are used. happens in every video after export.

see it for example here in minute 7:02 in background on edges of cash machine

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZGLT_U ... mjlxDTapwg

happens mostly on movements.
original Action! AVI files are fine without any problems, only exported MP4 are affected.

Would be very nice to have a solution, Thanks.

Do you export your video files using Action! built-in exporter or an external application?

i'm exporting with Action! itself 1080p high profile, quality high 1920x1080, maxed bitrate
if i do not export the recording, there are no artefacts, they are caused by export using Action!

lower bitrate --> many artefacts, max. bitrate fewer artefacts but not gone

effect ist stronger in dark scenes, look here at minute 14:40, 14:48, 15:20, 15:22, 15:31, ...

deactivating Nvidia hardware acceleration helps a bit i guess
