Why does the FPS counter only show the video FPS while rec?

Isn't that a bit useless when you already know what FPS you want to record in? When I want to record a video in 30 FPS, maybe my first time playing that game, I'd like to see what FPS I really get so I can change my settings during gameplay. I'm not interested in what FPS the video file will be in since I already know that it's either 30, 60 or sometimes 120.

Are you planning on making a change to this? Maybe make a toggle option so you can change the API FPS counter to a recording FPS if it's really that necessary.

DayZ standalone and ArmA 3 Multiplayer are two typical games where I have to constantly change my settings to get atleast 40+ FPS (they are both extremely CPU intence, which I can't afford) and when I'm recording I have to either guess my way of what settings are the most performance hungry and what settings are the most harmless, or I have to cut the recording completely.
