Video Random Stops (Stuttering)

Tue Jul 15, 2014 6:38 am

When I record, after a while (a minute or two) my video stutters, and then it continues. Depending on how much I record, it can happen more than once. When I play back my video, it goes well for most of it but the parts where it just stopped (stuttered) ruins the whole thing. The video cuts tot he stutter, the audio keeps going, and after 6 seconds or so, it resumes. Idk why.

Yeah, I get this aswell. Are you recording with the MP4 (AMD) and 60 FPS? Because that's where my issues are.

The Mirillis team is working on it, but since they don't really do any devblogs, it's kinda hard to know how it goes. I'm about to buy a 2TB HDD soon since my 1TB is running low, so I can dedicate half of it for only AVI videos

I tried adding an extension showcasing the glitch, knowing that i recorded with .avi, 60 fps, 1080p, but for some reason it was an .mp4 file, so maybe that is the problem.

Edit: Nope. .mp4 or .avi are the same.

It won't let me upload anything. The page just crashes.

I have a video example of something similar

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmnKKTzjsGw

It only happens when I record in 60 FPS though

Edit: I could record a better video example, but I'm going down to Stockholm tomorrow so I won't have time until next Friday

Thanks for the sample. This is a performance issue that occurs when the CPU is overloaded (100% usage). Our developers are currently working on a fix for this.

About how long would it take to finish? I can't trust this to film yet.

Sadly I can't specify any release date. Our developers are working on few other fixes and features atm.
