Video plays back mirrored

Sat Aug 02, 2014 1:13 pm

I downloaded Action! to try it out since I am not 100% happy with Apowersoft Screen Recorder Pro.

I recorded a video on my screen to test this out. When I played it back in DivX Plus Player, the video was mirrored. For example the text looked like if you look at text in a mirror. When I play the video through Action!, it works fine.

I tried to play it through the VLC player and I get this message: "VLC does not support the audio or video format "FICV". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this". I actually like using the VLC player.

Hmm. Are we limited to using only your player? Are there other downloads for other players? This will greatly factor in before I make a purchase.

Thanks.

It's first time I heard about the mirrored playback but I guess it's DivX Plus Player issue or setting. As for VLC. They do not support our video codec FICV as you have been informed in your error message. Most of the popular video players support our video codec.

I right clicked on the .avi file and selected export. The exported file is a .mp4 file and it runs fine in VLC. I then did a test and recorded as a mp4 file and it is fine. It seems it is only the avi file that is no good.

I do not want to do 2 steps as I have to do 2 steps in Apowersoft Screen Recorder Pro and I am looking for something else because of this. I will give your program another try. In Apowersoft Screen Recorder Pro, you have the ability to trim and crop your file if you need to. This I like since I need to crop the videos ever since they updated their software; no one on their end has gotten back to me when I asked about it. This is why I am looking for an alternative. I hate it when you pay for something and you do not get any service.

Thanks for the reply.

AVI use our own video codec FICV while MP4 videos are compressed used h.264 compression. You can either record your videos into MP4 format or export your AVI videos.
