Audio Record Wont Start (Help!)

Hello,

Just started my trail with Action! a day ago and I've been slowly learning the in's and outs. While doing this I seem to have run into a problem; my audio won't record. Just to be clear, it is not that I cannot hear anything, it is that the program will literally not record. The time icon sits at 0:0 and never starts.

These are my settings. Duration is left blank, multi channel is checked, along with record silence. Micro is set to always record. Under audio settings I have it set to the appropriate devices (Razer Kraken headset and Razer Kraken Microphone), and record microphone into separate tracks is turned off. Volumes are all within reasonable ranges.

I can record video just fine, just not audio. Another problem is that when I record audio it makes a WAV file that cannot be opened by Windows Media Player, although I think that is because the file is literally devoid of information.

Any help, or any suggestions would be great as I'm at a loss.

Update on the last!

It appears that there is a problem with the Razer Kraken 7.1 in some way. The problem "fixes" itself when I set the default sound device (in my computer) to my speakers. It appears that whenever I set sound to go through my headset Action! can no longer record.

In an effort to solve this problem I switched to my Logitech G35 and now have a different problem with that one. I can record microphone audio ONLY in MP4 format. Whenever I switch to WAV and I try to play the file I receive a error "Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file."

This is problematic because for the videos I wanted to record I need Action! to record both the sound inside the headset, and the microphone, otherwise I'll get feedback from my speakers into my microphone.

We have tested Razer Kraken 7.1 headset in the past and it didn't came out with any issues. Could you please report your issue to our support team?

Update again...

I think the issue is actually on my end, and not with the headset at all. I believe there is something wrong with a few of my USB plugin ports, which is causing the problems. I have changed ports to some that I know to be working, and the problems went away. I need to have my computer looked at, it seems!

Updates...

I might have been slightly hasty in my dismissing the problem. As it stands, my Kraken will not work no matter which USB its plugged into. Whenever I set it to default device in my computer (and this has been narrowed down as the source of the problem) Action! can no longer record. If I use my G35 Logitech headset I can record video plus audio and everything works fine, but I cannot record audio files separately, as Windows Media Player says "there is a problem reading this file." I'm not sure where to go from here, but it the problem seems to revolve around choosing my default device.

I'll be contacting support and see if they can fix it.

Recently one of our users had a similar problem. It was related to Kraken launcher. He managed to fix his issue by disabling this process. Please close Action! software and Razer Synapse software and run your task manger. Find process called "KrakenSysAudioLauncher.exe" and end it.
