Only one channel when recording with Ext. soundcard

Sun Aug 31, 2014 3:57 pm

Hi forum users and Mirillis support.

I'm using Action! to record everything from games to tutorials and is very pleased with it. Except for one thing. The reason I'm using Action! instead of Nvidia Shadowplay (that doesn't give any frame drops at all) is that you can set up your recording to almost rule out post-work in editing with audio recording, watermarks and pausing.

But when I record my mic from an external sound card (Steinberg CI2) I get stereo sound on only one channel (like left or right speaker only). My sound card is set to mono, and all other recording software only sees mono, except for Action that records my mic in stereo, due to two inputs on the sound card. Is there any way to bypass, override or use a work-around to record my mic in mono and my game/desktop in stereo so I don't need to convert every track to mono in editing?

Anyone having the same problem and/or a solution?

Thanks
