No mp4 and file error in avi and many more bugs

First off can I say how many bus there are with this thing. Should have done research before I actually bought what can only be described as a Beta.

Right first off, I am a Windows 8.1 user. I had to run in Windows 7 Compatibility mode just to get this program to launch... not a good start.

Now that I am up and running, Im trying to conduct a simple recording just to test it. I thought this would be able to handle my desktop but it seems that it cannot. Does not bode well for when I actually start recording anything more advanced than a moving pointer.

My issues I seem to have so far:

-I cannot record at all in MP4 format. It says that it is recording with the glowing red button but when I finish recording I get no files.

-When I choose the AVI format it does record. However the files only show as a second long according to your in program browser and nothing shows when I use playback.

May I say how displeased I am with this lackluster program. I do not have the time to start fault finding and fixing your mistakes just to make it do exactly the one thing I bought it for... yes.... PAY!! I am very close to asking for a refund from Paypal for paying for a service I do not seem to be receiving. Lets hope customer support works better than your program!

Video Card: NVIDIA 570
Memory: 16 GB
Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080
Video Editor: I need to be able to use this program before I can edit them????
Game Problem: Its not a game, it cant even record my mouse pointer????
Video Type: AVI and MP4, nothing works???

If you READ my initial message you would notice that I cannot load this so called premium program without compatibility mode. It just hangs on the title screen like a dead duck.... a dead duck I just paid 30 dollas for!!!!
