Audio Noise While Recording Games?

I use a headset while recording: The turtle beach x12 which is actually a bit overrated and I regret buying it. But, it seems to me that when I record with my mic, I can hear myself but there's a ton of audio noise, I would like to eliminate the middle man of separating my mic audio. Hope you guys can help.
