Avi no sound?

OS: Windows 10
Video Card: NVIDIA something
Memory: 16 GB
Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080,
Video Editor: n/a
Game Problem: Everything
Video Type: AVI
No matter what setting I set as my audio, when I record in AVI there is no sound. And when I try to record MP4 it crashes when I end the recording. I can't record without audio...
