How to make a Youtube channel – Youtube basics

 

YouTube is not only used to upload your content, but also as a remote drive where you can store your private videos, create your own playlists from existing videos on YouTube and subscribe and personalize your favorite channels.

Welcome to the new series “YouTube Basics” where you will learn how to create and manage your YouTube channel. Today we’ll present how to create a YouTube account and quickly set it up.

So let’s get to the main point: How to make a YouTube account?

First of all, you need to create your Google account. Good thing about Google account (which has many useful features, most well known apart from YouTube are Google Play, Google Maps and Google Drive)

Creating Google Account

Creating and setting up an account is as simple as it can be. Here is what you need to do:

1. Go to google.com and click on “sign in”
2. In next appearing window click on “Create account”
3. Next, fill in your basic information and click “Next step”
4. Read Privacy and Terms and accept the agreement
5. Now go to youtube.com, and log in (if necessary)
6. Click on your avatar in the top right corner and then click on “creator studio”
7. The last step is to click on “Create a channel”, and set up a name for it

Optional step:

If you want your account to stand out, you may add your own avatar and channel. To do that follow two simple steps:

1. Click on “customize channel” on your creator studio page and click a pen icon in the top right corner of both graphics spaces
2. Upload a photo from your computer to change avatar/channel art

Your account is set up and ready to be used. You can create your own playlists, upload your own videos and a lot of new things!
