We can all agree that TIME is kind of like any other form of currency. We spend time, we lose time, we do our best to try and save our time. For most people, note-taking has been a notorious time sink since their high school classes. Hours upon hours spent jotting down information that’s already been recorded and copied onto a page – essentially doing the same task someone was professionally paid to do over again, without even the benefit of using the right equipment: just pen and paper. With computers and Internet access, one can select a clutch of words on an internet page and clumsily copy and paste onto a word document, but again, this takes some time.

What it all boils down to is communication. So one has to ask themselves:

How am I communicating information, and how can I make it even more efficient?

How can I make it faster?

Today, it’s as simple as taking a screenshot.

Screen capture technology has existed in the form of basic programs like the Snipping Tool, but this is the 21st century. We can do better than that. The process has evolved beyond the haphazard and clumsy use of barebones, stock programs. For example, the Mirillis Action Screen Recorder has worked the steps to taking a screenshot down to simplicity itself. One only has to adjust the capture space before they use the screen capture feature. Compiling internet research has become as simple as one click of the mouse. Adjust the size of the screenshot to get everything you need, capture, and save.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the convenience screenshot tech can bring to one’s life. Most are well aware of the problems inherent in communicating a serious software issue to the help desk. Oftentimes there are emails back and forth, several clarifications of the issue, and ultimately after some trial and error the problem is solved. But rather than stumbling through explanations or struggling with multiple programs to try and communicate the issue, one can simply take a screen capture of the problem for a rapid-fire solution that saves loads of time.

Screen capture programs like Action! are fantastic for use in marketing research and development. Taking a screenshot of site traffic every day can help to determine the flow of visitors and allow for one to make adjustments here and there at a micro-level of detail – perfectly calibrating their site with absolute ease.

Technology has a habit of improving year by year. If one hasn’t seen the benefit of screen capture yet, it’s likely because the options previously available have been less than satisfactory. We all want to save some time, and at this point, screenshots are a tool anyone can use today to do so. Saving conversations for legal reasons, taking notes, simply sharing your experience with someone else ? screen capture is really the way to go if you want to save some time.
